Meet Our Staff

Dr. Lauren Plass, Optometrist

Dr. Lauren Plass received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Missouri State. While completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as an optician for Sears Optical, which further solidified her decision to pursue a career in Optometry. Dr. Plass then moved across the country to Ft. Lauderdale and attended NOVA Southeastern for her Doctor of Optometry degree. After graduation, she decided to move back to the Northeast, where she is originally from, to complete a residency in ocular disease at the VA Hospital in Newington, CT. Currently, Dr. Plass works part time at Meriden Eye Care, so she can spend more time at home with her two young kids. Dr. Plass performs comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, assesses for binocular vision conditions, does post-op visits for refractive and cataract surgeries, and also treats and manages ocular disease.
